“Vasa Kilaniou has more than lived up to our expectations during the past ten years and our visiting friends and relations have always left singing its praises and grateful for the warm welcome they received during their stay.”

Ten years ago my wife and I made a life changing decision to sell our home in the UK and move to Vasa Kilaniou. Whilst it had always been our intention to live in Cyprus, we planned to live by the sea and not up in the mountains! That however changed when we attended my wife’s brothers funeral in Vasa back in 2005. The residents of the village could not do enough for us at this distressing time. They were clearly very upset at his passing and did everything possible to ensure that the church service and burial was conducted in a thoughtful and caring manner.

We spent three years thereafter holidaying in Vasa and were always made very welcome. Hence our decision to make Vasa our new home.

Whilst living in this wonderful village we have always tried to fit in with the local community. We converted to the Greek Orthadox faith, attend church on a regular basis and have helped to make the village attractive to passing visitors. In return the villagers never forget us when organising trips or parties.

Vasa Kilaniou has more than lived up to our expectations during the past ten years and our visiting friends and relations have always left singing its praises and grateful for the warm welcome they received during their stay.
